Contact Your MLA About Homelessness Today!

"Poverty is not an accident. Like slavery and apartheid, it is man-made and can be removed by the actions of human beings" - Nelson Mandela

Homelessness is often perceived as a complicated issue, and while the individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness are as unique as all people, there is a simple solution to end this problem. Put people in homes.

Many issues become easier to deal with, treat and overcome once the stability of a secure home is acquired. Everyone has the right to a home.

To accomplish this goal requires political action. If you want to make a difference, contact your MLA or MP and tell them that homelessness issues matter to you and that you support social housing and housing first policies.

Here is a sample letter to use for your MLA, or draft your own using the suggestions here from Right to Housing. If you need to find your MLA's contact information. click here.

Make your voice heard, we can change the lives of all those living in poverty.
